Thank you to all who participated at our AGM on Nov. 19th, 2020. Though it was a bit unconventional this year being online, it was another great discussion with ideas that will definitely to help this association try to amend our programs around our current situation with Covid-19.
Once again we were almost able to fill every single position on the committee, compared to a handful of people who have been running the association for the past few years. We would like to announce that we have a new president this year, Chris Simpson, who has been handling our houseleague duties as convenor for the past few years, amongst many other duties along with coaching a Rep team the past couple of seasons. Congratulations, Chris!
Though we weren't able to offer a full program as in years past, we still would like to send a thank you once again to all the parents and players for your support over the past season. A special thank you to the committee members that worked to help run what little baseball we had amongst the restrictions.
Please note below the Committee members that were voted in for the 2021 season:

Also, our Girls Softball Director is looking to have someone fulfill these duties after this coming season, so please get in touch with us if you are interested in helping out our kids!
Waterdown Minor Baseball Association
Upcoming WMBA Rep Tryouts
Update 2: We have added tryout details for a second 12U team (Tier 2) and a 11U Select team which members can now apply to. Please refer to the information below.
Update: There have been a few slight changes in the tryout dates/times and we have added information not previously published for teams without tryout information, so most team's tryout schedule (included below) should be close to final going forward. Please verify tryout times for those who have already applied, as they may have changed from the initial email sent out. We will try to keep as close to this schedule as possible, though some factors such as weather may call for further changes, so please double check your tryout times a day or two ahead of time of your tryout dates on our website as this will have the most current information.
The baseball season is slowly coming to a close, and we are ramping up for tryouts for next year's Waterdown Wolves Rep baseball program. Rep teams are formed with tryout sessions for eligible players rostered with teams playing under the auspices of the Central Ontario Baseball Association (COBA). Play involves games with teams from the surrounding area & tournaments throughout the spring/summer of the upcoming season. For more information about the Rep program, please see our information listed under Rep & Select in our Youth Programs section on the WMBA website.
Although not everything is in place yet, the following early tryout schedule has been announced and we will be releasing times and places for other tryouts in the next little while for teams in divisions that will be fielded. Please check the WMBA website regularly for any sessions that are added or any changes that may be made to the schedule. For those interested in applying to tryout, please fill out the application form for the respective tryout on our Forms page (click here to be redirected to that page). Note that applications are not yet available for teams without an initial tryout schedule; once the initial schedule is confirmed, the form will be made available. We are making it mandatory to apply online before you attend your first tryout. Age qualifications are for end of year 2023 (i.e. 10U indicates 10 or under by Dec. 31, 2023). Note that we have yet to make any decisions on fielding Select teams but will post more information pertaining to those teams once a firm decision has been made.

Baseball seson is slowly coming to an end, and we are working diligently to ramp up for tryouts in the fall. Hold tight for announcements for these once September gets here. Once we have finer details established, applications will become available and schedules will be posted. Thank you for being patient on these details.
That being said, it has been a long time since we have had a U22 team listed in our ranks and we are trying to gauge interest in forming a U22 team for the upcoming 2023 season. If you are interested or know someone in this age group who may be interested in playing ball for this team next year, please feel free to have our application form completed (direct link here and listed in our Forms section on the website). Once we have decided we will go ahead with a team, a tryout schdeule will be posted in September if deemed necessary. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Krista Harwood (
Our U9 girls fought hard in the heat to pull off 2nd place this past weekend. These girls came out of TBall last season to form an all girls team and played against a lot of all boys and mixed teams throughout the season. There was a lot of practicing hard, playing hard and building unforgettable friendships. Congratulations girls!
Stay tuned to see what these girls do next season in U11 girls softball .
We are again trying to put together a team for next year, so if you have a daughter born in 2014/2015 interested in playing girls softball reach out for more information
We would like to thank our Jr T-Ball players and all their coaches for an exciting year of baseball and for coming out to our year-end championship skills competition today. We hope everyone had a great season and we hope to see you make use of those skills in the coming years.
For those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting our freind Gary Zagar, he has represented the greatness in volunteering for many years through various roles with the WMBA, from coaching to handling our equipment needs and dealing with the city as our liason. Through all his achievements, his primary focus was to have as many kids play baseball as possible and with his commitment, he has turned his determination into reality. Gary has recently decided to step down from his many roles as an exec, and in honor of Gary's excelence through the years, this past Tuesday evening we presented Gary with a plaque representing his longtime service with Waterdown Minor Baseball. Also presented was a new sign for what we previously named "the shed" at Joe Sams and will be now known as Zagar's Garage and Batting Cages, for which both were made possible through Gary's dealings with the city and his vision for the needs of our organization. We thank you Gary from the bottom of our hearts for all that you have done in the past 20+ years for the WMBA and we hope to see you from time to time enjoying yourself at the diamonds as you have in the past. If you happen to see Gary around town or at the fields, please share your admiration for all the well deserved applishments he has acheived for the WMBA and if you see kids smiling on the diamond, know Gary has a hand in it.
